So I am having a problem with my HOA. I received a letter from them stating that I need to clean my roof. They stated I had to remove the mold, fungus and debris. I already had it washed a month before the letter came. So I called them and stated I would like somebody to meet me out here and show me exactly what theyre talking about because I dont see it . So they said somebody would get with me within 48 hours. I waited and the next thing I know I get another letter this time its certified stating that if I did not take care of the problem, that legal actions will be taken. So I called again, explaining what I needed, and I requested a meeting with whoever takes care of our subdivision and they said again, somebody will get with me within 48 hours. I do notice some discoloration on the roof but I think it is coming from the aluminum strip at the top of the roof. The only discoloration is coming from that down the shingles. The roof is open. It has sunlight the entire time theres nothing on the roof that would cause mold. There is a couple of things Im looking for. The first is do they have to be certified to know that whats on my roof is mold? Or can they just come by and say thats mold take care of it. The second I guess would be I need to find somebody that is qualified to say whether its mold or not, and hire them to test this before I have legal actions taken against me. If anybody has had the same issues, please text me back. If anybody knows such a person that is qualified to say whether this is mold, please get with me.
